No, that is not the same at all. The new new seamonkey is in the
/export/linux/scientific/4x/i386/errata/SL/RPMS
area. You should be mirroring that as that is were the errata go. The
issue with seamonkey is that TUSV made it obsolete mozilla and they also
made it provide mozilla. Normally yum just ignores the "obsoletes", this
was done as "obsoletes" are normally used when one is "upgrading" to a
newer release. In this case they did it for a errata. So you just need
to use
yum upgrade
instead of
yum update
The only difference between these is that yum upgrade "honors obsoletes".
