I am not part of CERN staff.
It is not clear for me what are the differences between these two files:

kernel-2.6.9-34.EL.cern.src.rpm <http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/cern/slc4X/updates/SRPMS/kernel-2.6.9-34.EL.cern.src.rpm> 12-Mar-2006 14:38 43M
kernel-2.6.9-34.EL.src.rpm <http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/cern/slc4X/updates/SRPMS/kernel-2.6.9-34.EL.src.rpm> 10-Mar-2006 09:48 42M

At http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/ there are 4 possibilities.
What is SLC 30X ? I only heard about SLC 4X.

I suppose I am concerned with "not CERN" SLC 4X
then I find the line

for i386: os <http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/cern/slc4X/i386/yum/os/repodata/> updates <http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/cern/slc4X/i386/yum/updates/repodata/> extras <http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/cern/slc4X/i386/yum/extras/repodata/> testing <http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/cern/slc4X/i386/yum/testing/repodata/> dag <http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/dag/redhat/el4/en/i386/dag/RPMS/> jpackage <http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/jpackage/1.6/redhat-el-4.0/> rhaps2 <http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/cern/slc4X/RHAPS2/i386/yum/rhaps2/repodata/>

and again the content is far from clear, why not to have an hyperlink to some wiki entry ?

Thanks for explanations
