Excellent!

My initial tests with the firefox -3 version show that the only change I
needed in my 'hack' script is to avoid calling the (now no longer present)
regxpcom, regchrome scripts after we muck about with the chrome/config.

The thunderbird hack-setup required *no* changes -- even the old
spell-en-GB.xpi stuff seems to work exactly the same.

Having got into a 'browser' mood, I'm now doing the slightly longer job of
fixing up the changes for seamonkey (my hack code centrally installs some
extensions for mozilla -- we may need to either drop those or upgrade to
newer versions for e.g. the calendar stufff...)
