Download the kernel-....src.rpm for the kernel you want to build. They
are located at
ftp://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/4x/SRPMS/vendor/errata/
Read the instructions that are part of
/usr/share/doc/sl-release*/RELEASE-NOTES-x86_64-en
or RELEASE-NOTES-x86-en
Note the special instructions for just making a kernel module.
