Good Morning. I'm sorta new to Linux and definately new to SL.

I have just installed the latest d/l of SL4.2 and managed to do the proper
updates to the system.

I'm attempting to install KSTARS.
It seems to have multiple dependencies that are missing.
When I try to install some of those depenent modules, the
system-install-packages USUALLY says a newer version exists.

This MAY be due to which version of REDHAT SL4.2 is most based upon.

Does anyone have suggestions?

TIA

Scott Gates
