Lucien,

I could not get running a network card with the same broadcom chip on an
TUV's 4.0 update 2 system.
Then I used a driver supplied on the broadcom web site and it works.
There is a source RPM available for a tg3 driver suitable for all 2.6
kernels at
http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/downloaddrivers.php, try to
build the driver according to the README file, probably this will help
you.
