You can get to a text console, right?

Use your favorite text editor to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Find the Monitor section and enter the appropriate values for
 HorizSync and VertRefresh

Now find the Screen section and add your desired screen resolution and color
depth.

'man xorg.conf' and google should provide you with ample examples if you are
not exactly sure what you need to enter here.
