No...those lines tell about WHICH TYPE of failure it's looking for...some
are just old age type failures...and others...and these are important...are
PRE-FAILURE modes...in otherwords...if you had unreadable sectors
and stuff like that...like I have.  What's nice about Scientific Linux is
that the smart.config file is written to e-mail you on the system mail
if it finds one of these errors...

On your tests, the key is that there were no errors...period.  THAT is
a very significant thing, especially with the "long" test...which is
very thorough....some of the actual data lines are hard to interpret,
so you have to look them up..but all of your lines look WELL within
normal values....what's happening on the boot process and getting logged
is something different...I just don't know what it is..
