Agreed...you should get the data off of that disk NOW..
do a SMART check...or test would be good too:
#smartclt -t short /dev/<the device>
then after the two to 10 minutes of the test:
#smartctl -a /dev/<the device>
and check out the specifics...
WARNING: If the disk is VERY marginal..the test alone can cause it
to fail...get that data off!!!
