so maybe already using rpmforge would be good idea ? (I'm personally
using it on FC4).

No, you shall see no problems activating above: however in the past
there were some conflicts between DAG repo and ATrpms repo: I believe
this is resolved by now (Axel, the ATrpms maintainer reads this list
so maybe he could confirm ?)

Indeed.

errata is supposed to be security fixes , bugfix - enhancements and ..
well .. bugfixes ... (it is mostly empty by now as RH releases most
bugfixes/enhancements only once per quarter).

That's what I do on few systems: no real problems seen so far.
[which brings me to the very nice feature of apt that yum
(IMHO) is missing: one can specify repository precedence ..
I'm not sure if smartpm implements that concept too]
