This is a good observation.  Here's the brief reason why.

We are not legally able to link to anywhere inside www.redhat.com on our 
web pages.  It's not just RedHat that we arn't able to do that, but 
other sites at well, so don't take it out on them.

On the flip side, we ARE able to actually have that documentation in our 
distribution.  You'll find the release notes in 
/usr/share/doc/sl-release-<release>/

If you want to install the manuals, do a
   yum list rhel\*
figure out which one you want and install it.
