In the BIOS under chipset configuration there is a
USB Device (Enable or Disable these USB NEC720101)
and 
USB 2.0 Device (COntrol USB 2.0 functionality),
both options are set to enabled.

I've turned these off once before (a different issue)
and it meant I could only use the (USB) keyboard at the OS level
so I'm reluctant to turn them off.
Though I suppose I could try it and if it goes wrong
reset the CMOS via jumpers.

x86_64.

I've several of these w2100z workstations, this issue only
seems to affect those with dual 244 processors and not
those with dual 252s.
