Hello!

I had SL40rolling (and updated to SL4.1 as per instructions on this
list) on an IBM Thinkpad T42 and would appreciate any help on getting
the following working: (I am new to linux setup)

1) In (KDE) Control_Center->Regional&Accessibility->Keyboard_Layout
there is no selection for IBM Thinkpad T42.
(There is a selection however for IBM Thinkpad 560Z/600/600E/A22E). Is
any functionality lost because of this?

2) None of the Fn-keys work. It will be nice to have the following
working: * Video output switcher (Fn-F7) (for hooking up to a projector)
* Wireless on/off (Fn-F5) * Suspend to RAM (Fn-F3). Also nice would be:
* Sleep (Fn-F4) * Suspend to disk (Fn-F12). In case I can't get these
"buttons" to work, is there a way to do these tasks manually?

3) Pressing the middle (mouse) button above the touchpad and moving the
trackpoint is supposed to scroll pages (it does in Windows). How does
one get this working?

4) A general wireless question: Is there someway to switch easily
between wireless settings when I move from place to place (from home to
work and back etc). I think right now I have to edit info in
System_settings->Network (system-config-network) for it to work. There
is something called "profile" in system-config-network - is this
supposed to enable easy switching between access points?

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks!
Shri.
