I don't have answers, but I too would like to know the answers. Let me
ask you some more questions. The version of dhcp in the rc versions of
SL41 is dhcp-3.0.1-38_EL4. Have you tried this? I tried it briefly and
it seemed to work fine. Did the problems you describe occur immediately
or take some time to develop?
The bugzilla report is from January. I would think this should be fixed
by now. Have you tried the test version from RH linked to in the
bugzilla report viz. http://people.redhat.com/~jvdias/dhcp/FC3/
