Hello,
Thank you for the compliment. We do our best.
Looking at other e-mails, it looks like you have a few more questions :)
... but that's ok.

To answer the question, there are actually three ways to change. The
'by hand' way, the 'redaht' way, and the normal way.

A bit of history is that RedHat loves ... really loves ... gnome.
Although they put KDE in, they are so focused on gnome it's just sad.
They have actually changed default gnome configurations, so on a
standard RedHat, it's almost impossible to get KDE by default. But we
made some desktop tweaks to help a bit.

Normal way: On a graphical login, just select KDE in the session menu,
and it will ask you if you always want to login using KDE. Note:You
must have SL_desktop_tweaks installed for this to work, but that get's
installed with either gnome or kde so it should be there.

RedHat way: "yum install switchdesk-gui" Then select

By Hand Way-1: Edit /etc/sysconfig/desktop and change DESKTOP="GNOME" to
DESKTOP="KDE"

By Hand Way-2:
   echo "exec startkde" > $HOME/.Xclients
   chmod 755 $HOME/.Xclients
