I didn't think to look in the vendor section.
I read ftp://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/40/i386/SL.documentation/RELEASE-NOTES-x86-en
but not ftp://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/40/i386/SL.releasenote
The latter would have pointed me in the right direction.
