Hi,

I tried to follow the earlier thread about the location of the kernel source for SL 4, but
I can't find the src.rpm file anywhere.

I'm converting from RedHat 8 and SL 3.03, and I see many changes in the kernel build process - but
that's why this stuff is so much fun.

Question: where can I find the source (rpm, tar, whatever) for 2.6.9-5.0.5?
Please give a complete answer. The answer below (from the earlier thread) is a little vague; I searched the
ftp site(s) and could not find any kernel-<version>.src.rpm and I could not find a SRPMS CD iso image.

         1. Obtain the kernel-<version>.src.rpm file from one of the
            following sources:

o The SRPMS directory on the appropriate "SRPMS" CD iso image

o The FTP site where you got the kernel package
