Dear friends:

As promised, I will in the future ask questions only on issues 
directly related to SL or its operations. I hope you agree that an 
issue affecting yum is relevant.

The problem is that the command "yum list available" produces a 
list that starts with the letter p (to be precise "pearl...", instead of 
a. Yum was working fine the first day of install but then the 
problem started. I have not touched any of the configuration files 
other than enabling the Dag repository at Troy's advice. 

Yet, I do not have any problem actually installing with yum, 
including applications from a to p.

Your advice would be much appreciated.
