Dear friends:

One by one, my issues are being resolved. Very pleased indeed.

The yum issue was just a matter of enabling the Dag source
in /etc/yum/yum.repos.

I realize that yum is the main source for updating and adding programs for SL.
It has all the applications, I am sure, most of us will need.

All the more reason why I would like to ask simply: when would SL users want
to use apt-get, if at all. Do any SL users use apt-get? If so, for what
applications? And form what approved sources?

Thank you all.

Benjamin
