Scientific Linux 4.x alpha for ia64 March 30, 2005

This is the first release of Scientific Linux 4.x . It is a alpha release.
DO NOT use it for production use.

It should be possible to upgrade from Scientific Linux 3.0.x via the anaconda
installer.

There are no "site" support yet.

Set of 32bit RPMS is too big (some do not actually install
cleanly on ia64 and will have to be removed before SL 4.1 ia64
production release)

This release is made so that you can become familiar with SL 4.x .
See SL.documentation for the vendor release notes.

See comments/issues/test reports to [log in to unmask]
