Hi,

I just gave this a try. An srpm is here:

/afs/ifh.de/user/w/wiesand/public/www/SL4/openafs-1.3.80-1.SL.src.rpm

http://www-zeuthen.desy.de/~wiesand/SL4/openafs-1.3.80-1.SL.src.rpm

This is the changelog entry:
- new upstream version supposed to fix many problems on linux 2.6
- notice the default afsd behaviour finally has changed to -nosettime;
   add -settime to your afsd options to get back the old behaviour
- added an ugly hack to get the kernel modules built
- updated CellServDB to version from grand.central.org as of today

The "ugly hack" is this, found at the bottom of %build:

make dest_only_libafs || {
     ln -s ../make_kbuild_makefile.pl src/libafs/MODLOAD-*
     make dest_only_libafs
}

Maybe someone else finds a more elegant way of fixing the modules build.

The bad news is that it behaves just like 1.3.79: the first write under a
UP kernel - only - gets stuck on my 32bit P4 system. 32bit SMP works,
as does 64bit UP and SMP.

Cheers,
 	Stephan
