These are all processors that will do both the 32 bit x86 programs, as
well as 64 bit programs.

You CAN install the i386 distribution on all of these processors, and
everything run's fine and fast.  But if you want to do 64 bit stuff on
those processors, then you need the x86_64 programs that have been
compiled in 64 bit mode.

Now technically the Itanium will do 32 bit programs, but the last tests
I saw were so slow that I really didn't want to go there.  It looks like
many people feel the same, so it has been relegated to just 64 bit
programs for the Itanium.
