Hi Stephan,
I hadn't even thought of trying that, but it makes sense.  What I was doing
was putting the kernel module for the non-smp x86_64 kernel in, and that was
always failling, so I thought they were incompatible for some reason.  But the
ia32e is by default a smp kernel.  Doh ... *Troy slaps his forehead*
I'll see if I can get a kernel-module-openafs rpm for the ia32e out.
