Dear all,
new release ORCA_8_4_0_dbg built locally with the debug option, is now
available in fnal environment.
Source code in ORCA_8_4_0_dbg is identical to ORCA_8_4_0. Configuration is
the same as in ORCA_8_4_0 except that debug versions of cobra and pool are
used, and compiler optimization options are replaced by -g (both for c++
and fortran compilers).
COBRA_7_9_0_dbg release is also available, and it is configured against
debug version of pool.
To create development space, proceed as with any other release:
scram project ORCA ORCA_8_4_0_dbg
For the source code checkout use the original (!) ORCA_8_4_0 cvs tag:
project ORCA
cd ORCA_8_4_0_dbg/src
cvs co -r ORCA_8_4_0 <modules>
Build and set up the environment as usual, and you are set to run under
your favorite debugger. Both ddd and gdb debuggers are available locally
on the UAF.
Note, these debug versions are installed on the UAF local file system, an
are not available via the afs.
Best regards,
Natalia.
