I took a look at:

ftp://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/30rolling/i386/RELEASE-NOTES.html

and saw:

-----
Scientific Linux (SL) 3.0.3

June 28, 2004

MISC NOTES

Upgrades from prior versions.

UPDATES are NOT supported for all versions of SL . This is NOT something
that we changed.

UPDATES will NOT work from anything except RedHat AS 2.1.

I am confused by this. It DOES explicitly mention SL 3.0.3, but the
date is suspect, for one thing. Was 303 really available in June? And
can it really be true that we can't update from 302, but only from RHEL 2.1?

Can you clarify?

Thanks.
