I have just finished installing SL-302 on an opteron platform.
Unfortunately, I found that perl was not installed. The output of
"apt-get install perl" yields:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
perl: Depends: perl(Filter::Util::Call)
Depends: perl(OS2::Process) but it is not installable
Depends: perl(Term::ReadKey) but it is not installable
Depends: perl(Tie::RangeHash) but it is not installable
As a temporary fix to the situation, I installed perl via "rpm
--nodeps". However, if I want to install any package via apt-get that
depends on perl (quite a few), apt-get will catch the unmet
dependencies.
any suggestions ?
thanks,
Chris
