I used yum to update (upgrade ??) from SL3.0.1 to SL3.0.2.

I used a yum.conf files which exculdes the kernel and afs.

Then I ran yum (which upgraded all the pkgs)

I then used rpm to by hand to upgrade the kernel (and afs).
(Although I suppose I could have used yum but I like to
configure lilo and grub by hand).

Note that I did this before the current slew of errata arrived.

So I can say that it worked for me.
