Folks,

While tooling up to run batch services on SL302 I discovered that I could
not get YUM to update the kernel-module-openafs-* RPM to match the kernel
update applied by YUM duirng kickstart. AFS therefore doesn't start becuase
of the kernel module mismatch.

It would appear this is due to the kernel-module-openafs RPMs having the
kernel version number as part of the package name and YUM is unable to
recognise that the version for 2.4.21-15.0.3EL.spm is an `update' for
2.4.21-15.0.2EL.smp. This is with yum-2.0.7-1.SL.noarch.rpm.

Connie has provided a solution. There is an new YUM in the SL/contrib
hierarchy (yum-2.0.7-2.SL.noarch.rpm) which fixes this particular problem -
it works when used in our PXE/kickstart system.

Thanks Connie...
