Hello,

Having installed RC1 and upgraded to RC2 through yum, I noticed
that two small buglets seem to be present in the yum-conf rpm:

- The installed /etc/cron.daily/yum.cron has incorrect settings
for the path (going against sl301/... instead of the updated
hierarchy with scientific/...). The examples in /etc/yum.d
have the correct settings for this, though.

- All (as in /etc/cron.daily/yum.cron and the ones in /etc/yum.d)
of them call yum with 'check-updates' but should instead use
'check-update' since it fails with the former.

Installing the serialconsole rpm fails when attempting to
update grub.conf, at least on my installation, with this:

--- snip ---
Starting serial console configuration
...
   Editing console line(s) in /boot/grub/grub.conf
grubby: kernel not found
    Working on kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.21-9.0.3.EL
     OldAppend=
     Added console=ttyS0,9600
grubby: kernel not found
     NewAppend=
serial console configuration finished
--- snip ---

and no change is made to the kernel (append) part of grub.conf.
The other parts work correctly, however (inittab, et al).

Apart from the above both my installations work perfectly so
far, on two Dell machines (PowerEdge 700 and 750), surviving
both manual abuse and automated nightly dito via cerberus,
which is very encouraging!

Best regards,

David Kinnvall
