Scientific Linux (SL) Preview April 19, 2004

This is Scientific Linux formerly HEPL.

All the people on [log in to unmask] are now on
[log in to unmask] . At the moment hepl-devel points to
scientific-linux-devel .

If you find anything that still says HEPL let us know.

Installation Locations

Install image locations

Cdrom install image location

ftp://linux21.fnal.gov/linux/iso/sl30rolling/

These are now available. Note that the "date" has change to 042004. These are
now "aptable". To do this you need to put each cdr disk into your /mnt/cdrom
drive and run "apt-cdrom add" . The apt-cdrom command will mount the cdr on
/mnt/cdrom and ask a few questions.

Mirror ftp site and install via your prefered method from your mirror. Rsync
access is now available to this area. If you need access send us email.

yum-conf-sl30rolling-3.noarch.rpm

now uses new feature "tolerant=1" for yum.cron

apt The cdrom images are now aptable.
