As a new user of SL (having used other Linux distros before, and, by the
way, having switched to SL because of RH concordance, expecting professional
handling of compilation and update management of releases, and, in
particular, long term stability and support) I was trying to learn more and
get some guidance from the SL website.

I was interested in looking at hardware requirements; unfortunately, the
list of "System Configuration Limits" under /Documentation/Misc/Limits seems
to be out of date and not having been updated for newer releases. Why so?

It should continue to be maintained. Why? Just because it might be helpful.

And, in addition, upper and lower limits for hw requirements should both be
listed.
