|  Just to make sure I know what you are talking about, you mean 
|  instead of having it put grub on the Master Boot Sector, like 
|  /dev/sda you want it on the partitions, like /dev/sda3
| 
|  I personally don't know, I've never tried it with the live cd 
|  install. I'm currently not in a position to find out anytime 
|  soon, I'm just double checking to make sure I, and others, 
|  understand the question.

   Yes, that is what I mean. It is very useful in multi-boot
   environments, especially with Microsoft system loaders on MBR.

   Could you please let me know if it is possible with 
   regular (non-Live) installation SL 5.1 cds -in advance of 
   downloading them?
