Not sure about what is 5271 exactly. But we just worked out a problem with
last 57xx (PCI Express based) generation (on an IBM x326m) on SL4.2.
Basically we just added the driver to initrd.
I made one test with SL 3.05 this morning, using the same workaround, but I
didn't succeed. I had not time to troubleshoot this problem, may be just a
mistake when updating initrd or building the driver.
