Hello,

I'm trying to install scientific linux 3.0.3 in an amd-k6 processor with no
success. The installer refuse to install in this architecture, so I moved
the system disk to other machine where I installed slc303. Then I compile
the kernel 2.4.29 for amd-k6 processor.

The kernel 2.4.29 should boot the slc303 in the amd-k6 machine, but it
doesn't. The machine loads the kernel and detect all devices but it does not
start the init process, add the swap. The last system messages are:
---------------------
(...)
EXT2-fs warning (device ide1(22,2)): ext2_read_super: mounting ext3
filesystem as ext2

VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly.
Freeing unused kernel memory: 116k freed
---------------------

Could you please help me on this, we have about 10 machines with amd-k6
processors and we need the install slc303 on them, we can not throw them
away and buy new ones.

Thank you in advanced for any help.
