Hello,

I have an application that uses serial communication. I would like to
send the serial commands out on the network using tcp/ip without
changing the application. The problem that I am having is that I can
not figure out how to create a pseudo terminal in sci linux. How is this
done and what is the best way of creating the link between the newly
created pty and the IP port?

I am running Scientific Linux 4.2 on x86.

Thanks,

David
