The fact of security updates being released doesn't automatically mean 
they should be applied to each and every system.

I've just rereviewed recent (two weeks) RHEL security reports, and my 
assessment is that none of them is of importance to me. The greater risk 
is that some software update could actually be harmful, I've had that 
happen to me before.

I can see that the autoupdate might be useful, but only from sources 
approved by the relevant administrator. In my case, that would be an 
in-house repo maintained to my rules.
