I want to thank all of you who have offered suggestions about the 
  mozilla mail problem.  I checked the rpms installed and mail 
was not there.  It is in the isos I burned.  I installed it and 
mail now works.  I just don't understand why the install program 
installed the browser and not the mail client.  Well all is well now.
