 Yes there is space in this directory and permissions have been triple
checked.

Sorry for the delay -- I spoke with the vendor of Gaussian and they
mentioned that there was a security patch in the kernel version I'm
running which has caused problems with g03 Gaussian, and we should
recompile g03-E.01.

So our next step is to recompile that version. The vendor did not
specify the exact kernel security update.

Do you have ample disk space in the area that this program is writing?
