The reason why module-init-tools-3.3-0.pre3.1.60.el5 triggered
'Conflict' is because that particular version of module-init-tools has
a bug and causes issues with kmod packages:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=593504

So, as far as that version is avoided, ELRepo kmods should work fine
in any release of SL they are built for.
