This is the first thing I do on installing SL, or even Fedora. Though
I'm a Free Software zealot, there are others in the lab that need to run
proprietary software, and many refuse to install if it isn't one of
their "supported OSs". And how do they check this? Not looking at the
kernel or glibc, but this friendly string!
