Although I might agree given the actual implementation of GRUB, say, 
compared to the predecessor LILO, the concept behind a single bootloader 
for any specific boot architecture (e.g., that commonly used on IA-32 
and X86-64 processors) simplifies the situation.

Or are you opposed to the concept of a unified bootloader for any 
specific boot architecture?
