trying to install some gnome software from gnome-files.org or .com wherever it is.
Any way as I do the ./configure command, I get the following error either as my own account or as root.
checking for pkg-config... /usr/local/bin/pkg-config
checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes
checking for NETSPEED... configure: error: Package requirements (libgnomeui-2.0 >= 2.8.0 libpanelapplet-2.0 libgtop-2.0 >= 2.10.0) were not met.
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively you may set the NETSPEED_CFLAGS and NETSPEED_LIBS environment variables
to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for
more details.
I could really use some help in fixing this particular problem.
