Hello,
On my network I run a program called "mon" which periodically checks
that machines are up and running and emails me if anything goes down.
At the moment it is running on a Debian machine, but I would like to
move it to a Scientific Linux machine. I have installed the mon
package from the dag repository, but it does not seem to come with
many monitors:

sirtommy 14:06% cd /usr/lib/mon
sirtommy 14:06% ls mon.d
dialin.monitor.wrap rpc.monitor

How should I install fping.monitor or ping.monitor, please? I also
use http.monitor, ftp.monitor and telnet.monitor (is there an
ssh.monitor?) but these are less crucial.
Eva.
