Hi Chris,
You are correct on one point.  I didn't have SELinux turned on.  I have 
since turned it on, and I do indeed get the fstab entries you showed.
BUT ... my normal users still are able to mount the device.

Please, as a regular user, with your usb media plugged in, issue the command

   mount /media/Linux_backup

and if you get an error, please send it.
