Hi,

I'm trying to do an update from SL 4.3 to 4.4 on 2 different x86_64 systems and I get
the following error:

# yum update
	:
	:
Transaction Check Error:
file /usr/share/applications/rhn-applet.desktop from install of rhn-applet-2.1.25-22 conflicts with file from package yumex-applet-2.1-2
file /usr/share/rhn/rhn_applet/applet.py from install of rhn-applet-2.1.25-22 conflicts with file from package yumex-applet-2.1-2

file /usr/share/rhn/rhn_applet/rhn_utils.pyc from install of rhn-applet-2.1.25-22 conflicts with file from package yumex-applet-2.1-2

If I force the update of the 2 packages, then the upgrade works.

# rpm -Uvh --force rhn-applet-2.1.25-22.x86_64.rpm yumex-applet-2.1-2.x86_64.rpm


By the way, I've been able to do the upgrade on the i386 platform without this problem.
If I query package ownership on one of the above files on a 4.4 i386 system I get:

# rpm -qf /usr/share/rhn/rhn_applet/rhn_utils.py
yumex-applet-2.1-2.i386
rhn-applet-2.1.25-22.i386

Is this kosher?
Anyone else having this problem?
