Hi,
I am trying to install SL3.0.4 from a platform
currently running Redhat v9 with the following kernel:
Linux 2.4.20-42.9.legacy #1 i686 i386 GNU/Linux.

I am following the directions at the following url:
https://www.scientificlinux.org/documentation/howto/rh9_to_sl303

During the 'yum upgrade' step, I get the following
messages:

---
Resolving dependencies
..Package PyQt needs libsip.so.9, this is not
available.
Package wxPython needs libwx_gtk-2.3.so.1, this is not
available.
Package wxPython-gl needs libwx_gtk-2.3.so.1, this is
not available.
Package wxPython-gl needs libwx_gtk_gl-2.3.so.1, this
is not available.
Package PyQt needs libqassistantclient.so.1, this is
not available.
---

If I run 'locate' for the various libraries, I do find
them on my system. I don't know the package manager
well enough to know where to go from here.

Do you know how I satisfy the dependency requirements?

I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks.

-g
