There is a fully and properly packaged schily cdrtools available for EL6 
from city-fan.org.  See:
http://nervion.us.es/city-fan/yum-repo/ for the University of Seville 
mirror (city-fan.org is on a DSL line, and thus rather slow).  I've had 
to 'cross-grade' more than one machine due to wodim brokenness that 
works fine with the schily cdrtools.  I don't do the cross-grade unless 
I need to, though, since wodim is the upstream-supported solution.  The 
city-fan packages are properly signed and properly obsolete/upgrade all 
the wodim packages, and fully satisfy all the dependencies normally 
provided by the cdrkit programs.
