Hi Pat
My rsync mirror downloaded a further batch of SL7.0 updates overnight and now the yum update worked OK. It looks like I hadn't got the complete set of updates yesterday, even though the rsync runs every 6 hours.
I guess it was just a bad day for rsync!!!
Thanks for your attention at such a busy time.
