We have 2 of these Athlon 64 systems running 32-bit SL40 here at UNM and 
we have not had any problems, so it looks like experiment is in 
agreement with theory.  Our configuration includes MSI K8N Neo4 
motherboard, Asus Nvidia 6600 PCIx video, SATA HDD and once the Nvidia 
Nforce4 LAN, audio, and video drivers (32-bit) were installed, 
everything was as smooth as can be (had to download drivers on another 
system since LAN driver not supplied by SL4 default).  -Michael
