Hi James,

    The Wine folks has been tinkering with "WOWpop64" (the M$ method
of mixing 32 bit and 64 bit apps), but no joy yet.  So, you install
32 or 64 bit Wine and you can not mix the apps.

    And, yes, since there is no 32 bit support (or meager support),
on EL 7, Wine is essentially dead on EL 7.

    Since there are virtually no 64 bit Windows apps out there,
and those that are have 32 versions, I throw the
              ./configure --disable-win64
          or   yum install wine.i686
switches.

    64 Windows apps have not really caught on like they have in
the Linux world.  Mainly I see 64 bit Windows apps in some
of the CAD world.  And to me personally, they don't seems to run
any better or any faster.

   Linux on the other hand, I can easily tell the difference
in 32/64 bit performance.
